German ISIL- and Library Codes Agency at the Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin

ISIL and library codes are used for unique identification of libraries, archives, museums and related organisations in regional network catalogues, for interlibrary loan and other applications. While ISIL (International Standard Identifier for Libraries and Related Organisations) functions as an international identifier for these organisations Sigel is the mere national equivalent in Germany.
